Caveat: gloves are still warm. They will suffice on cold days. Mittens, however, are oh-so-much better. But! they say, you have more dexterity with gloves! That's kind of like claiming an elephant has more agility than a hippo. Sure I'll give it to you, but they're both so big and cumbersome it doesn't really matter. Have you ever tried tying your shoes with winter gloves on? Heh. Good luck. You might as well be wearing mittens. The only thing you'll need dexterity for is throwing snowballs, and mittens do that just fine.
